We were kayaking on Spirit Lake in Northern ID. I paused to take a picture of the geese. To my surprise when I got home and put the pics on my computer, there was a Great Blue Heron that had photobombed my picture, taking off right behind the geese. The Canada goose is a large wild goose species with a black head and neck, white patches on the face, and a brown body. Native to arctic and temperate regions of North America . The great blue heron is a large wading bird in the heron family Ardeidae, common near the shores of open water and in wetlands over most of North America and Central America, as well as the Caribbean and the Gal�pagos Islands. bird16 7461c
