We were whale watching near Juneau AK and saw this humpback come up and I caught the tail, not all of them were white, most of them were dark like the whale's body. Humpbacks are named for the steep arching of the back characteristic when they descend on deep, sounding dives. Humpback whales are the most commonly sighted baleen whales in the Juneau area. img47 154
